Crow-Applegate-Lorane School District Will Ask Voters to Consider $4 Million in Bonds for School Repairs, Renovations. If Measure Passes, State Will Match with $4 Million.
The Crow-Applegate-Lorane School Board has approved a resolution to put a bond measure requesting $4 million for school repairs and renovations on the November 2016 ballot. If district voters approve the measure, the district will double its money thanks to $4 million in state matching grants. If voters do not approve the measure, State grant funds will be diverted to another district.
This will allow the district to complete $8 million in safety, accessibility and security improvements; replacement of failing mechanical systems; and a remodel and addition that will establish space for vocational training and a STEM wing.
If voters approve the bond measure, those in the school district would pay $0.95 per $1,000 of assessed property value. That translates to $237.50/year for a house assessed at $250,000.
