HS Crow families, we are going to try for one more push to see if we have enough interest to run an independent schedule for baseball/softball. Encourage your student to sign up in the HS front office if they are interested in playing.

On January 26th, 2024 Crow High School Drama Class will host a dinner theater event. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be served at 5:30 pm and the play begins at 6 pm. Admission will be free for children and five dollars for adults. The description of the play follows: Noses Off "An amateur theater company's whodunit hurtles towards opening night -- but the real mystery is whether the cast and crew can get this disaster to curtain call. It won't be easy when the costume designer's bent on revenge, the actors are wrapped up in a revolving door of showmances, one suitcase plays the role of nine, and the playwright won't admit that Nine Little Indians might owe a little something to Agatha Christie. The best seat in the house is backstage on opening night in this full-throttled homage to Michael Frayn's classic comedy."

Due to unsafe driving conditions and continued power outages, all CAL schools will be closed tomorrow - Friday, January 19th. In an attempt to support our school community through these challenging times, Crow High School locker rooms will be open for use from 10:00am to 1:00pm. We will also offer hot cocoa/coffee and a snack, with no charge. Please do, however, only travel if it's safe to do so and bring your own towel/toiletries. We look forward to resuming our normal school schedule on Monday, January 22nd.

Hello CAL Families, First, thank you to the many helpful neighbors who have pitched in to ensure roads are cleared and needs are met during the storm! I am continually impressed with our school community and its care for one another. Currently, all of our school buildings have power and internet. Most have water and effort is being made to restore water to the elementary building today. (Another big thanks to our utility companies and maintenance team!) If school resumes tomorrow, we have enough food to serve a "Cook's Choice" menu for both breakfast and lunch. At this point we are watching road conditions. Dangers include continued ice/slush, downed trees, and rising water levels. Our plan is to continue with road checks and make a decision about school for Friday by 5:30am. As is our routine practice throughout the school year, if families have specific needs or emergency situations that cause an absence, we encourage them to communicate directly with the school office. Also, as a reminder, when schools are closed for the day all extracurricular activities and facility usage is also canceled. We look forward to getting back to our normal routines as soon as safely possible. Warmly, Superintendent Heidi Brown
